Air Handling Units for Process Applications

Coibent Plastic EOLA Division design and develop Air Handling Unit (AHU) for special applications in the Industrial Shipbuilding and Oil&Gas sector, in accordance with

European regulations and directives of the CE mark.

Many options are available depending on your needs, as such type of units are considered as non-standard machinery.

Each unit can be customized according to the type of treatment required, the dimensions available in the field and the levels of noise and vibration allowed.

CASING:

Framework: standard is in aluminum alloy extruded sections, coupling by 3-way joints in glass filled, nylon or aluminum. Upon request it can be made from stainless steel grade 1.4307 (AISI 304) or 1.4404 (AISI 316L).

Base-frame: Robust bent plate having thickness depending on the unit’s weight, complete of lifting holes.

Panels: Double skin panel available in several options such as galv. Steel, pre-painted steel, stainless steel (AISI 304 or 316L), etc. Standard thickness 25, 40, 50mm.

Maintenance and inspection panels are fitted with nylon handles and hinges.

AHUs can be mono-bloc type or of modular sections type, as a function of the sizes and of air treatments required.

AIR TREATMENT SECTION

Filters: Available several types of filter cells and pocket as a function of treatment required.

Heat Recoveries: Air-Air rotary enthalpy type.

Heat exchanger: Air/Water, Direct expansion, Electric, etc., as a function of treatment required.

Drop Eliminators: Polypropylene, multi-folds, depending on the efficiency to be achieved.

Drain Pan: Stainless Steel

Humidifier: Steam, ultrasonic, water and air-compressed, adiabatic.

Air Fans: Double width double inlet (DWDI) centrifugal fan with forward or backward curved blades, driven by trapezoidal belts and adjustable pulleys. Standard version in galvanized steel. Special coating or Stainless steel available on request.

Fan and motor supported by single base frame and isolated from the main structure by anti-vibration mounts and flexible joint on the outlet.

Motors: Asynchronous three-phase motors according to international standards IEC 60034, IEC 60072, EMC 2004/108/CE, LVD 2006/95/CE, CE marked, IP 55, class F. Suitable for S1 service (continuous working at constant load).

PLUG FAN type with EC motor are available also.

CONTROL PANEL

Control panel can be provided, placed inside or remotable, complete of control system to manage the air quality and the thermos-hygrometric conditions, scalable and expandable depending on your needs.

Both the PLCs used and the regulation elements are selected according to specific project requirements and to any Vendor list applicable.

Standard feed provided is 400V/3ph/50Hz (other option available on request).
