BLU SYSTEM – CPW

Self-standing unit for chilled water production (standard 7/12°C) water cooled condensing type (fresh water as standard or salt water on request). Materials and components are selected to provide high resistance to corrosion, long time service and optimum reliability along with standardization of common components to ensure spare parts worldwide available.

All units are designed for heavy use in marine sector, they are constructed on a robust steel frame and are basically composed by:

  • Robust frame made of steel beams with painting cycle suitable for marine environments;
  • Primary brand compressors of open construction, or semi-hermetic or hermetic type with or without capacity control depending on the needs of the system. Power supply 400/3/50 or 440/3/60 (other voltages on request);
  • Lubricating oil separator with injection into the compressor crankcase;
  • Shell-and-tube marine condenser with outer shell in carbon steel and cast-iron headers, with specific coating against corrosion. Internal tubes in CuNi 90/10 alloy.

Available, upon request, the certificate issued by the Classification body;

Shell-and tubes evaporator with outer shell in carbon steel coated against corrosion and internal tubes in copper (different material such as CuNi 90/10 alloy, AISI 316, carbon steel, available on request). Available, upon request, the certificate issued by the Classification body;

Vertical or horizontal liquid receiver(s) made in carbon steel coated, complete of inlet and outlet connections, isolating valves and a threaded port for installation of an over-pressure safety device. Available, upon request, the certificate issued by the Classification body;

  • Thermal Expansion Valve (TEV, TXV or TX valve) of externally equalized type (of electronic type over 250Kw);
  • Solenoid valve (24VDC/AC);
  • Filter dryer of replaceable cartridge type, isolating valves and by-pass circuit;
  • HP and LP pressure switches;
  • Pressure switches for condensing capacity control;
  • Differential Pressure switches for lubricant oil monitoring;
  • HP and LP Pressure Gauges;
  • Service thermostat;
  • Antifreeze thermostat on water circuit;
  • Pressure Safety Valves;
  • Pumping unit with double water pumps (2×100%), non-return valves and manual isolating valves for interceptions;
  • Flow switches on water circuit;
  • Electric switchboard for Power and Control already cabled with equipment and devices present on-board (constructed according to CEI, IEC, CEI EN);
  • Completion Accessories;
  • Possibility of providing redundant systems within a single skid.
